Hon. Jason D. Witcher (ret.)
Hon. Jason D. Witcher (ret.) brings more than 25 years of distinguished legal experience to his work in alternative dispute resolution. His career reflects a rare combination of service as a litigator, a skilled negotiator in complex matters, and a municipal court judge presiding over thousands of cases.
As a litigator, Judge Witcher developed a deep understanding of legal strategy, case development, and advocacy. His experience handling complex matters and negotiating high-stakes disputes allows him to assess risk, evaluate positions, and guide parties toward practical and effective resolutions.
As a judge, he was entrusted with making fair, impartial, and well-reasoned decisions that directly impacted individuals and businesses. This unique combination of advocacy, negotiation, and judicial decision-making positions Jason Witcher Alternative Dispute Resolution, LLC to deliver thoughtful, efficient, and authoritative dispute resolution services.

What is Alternative Dispute Resolution?
Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is a practical and effective alternative to traditional courtroom litigation. Through processes such as mediation and arbitration, ADR helps parties resolve disputes in a manner that is often more efficient, cost-effective, private, and focused than prolonged litigation. At its best, ADR is designed to reduce unnecessary conflict, streamline the resolution process, and produce fair, reasoned outcomes that allow individuals and businesses to move forward.
Why Choose Us?
Having worked from multiple vantage points within the legal system, we understand how disputes develop, how they are evaluated, and what is required to bring them to meaningful resolution. That experience allows us to approach each matter with sound judgment, professionalism, and a clear understanding of both the legal and practical realities involved.
We support the core purposes of ADR by providing:
-
Judicial perspective to evaluate disputes fairly, impartially, and with credibility
-
Litigation experience to understand legal risk, case strengths, and likely outcomes
-
Negotiation skill to help parties move toward practical and workable resolution
-
Efficiency and focus to reduce the delay, cost, and uncertainty of courtroom proceedings
-
Professional balance to maintain a process grounded in respect, order, and sound decision-making
The goal is not simply to resolve disputes, but to resolve them well—with fairness, clarity, and confidence.

OUR SERVICES
1
Mediation
A confidential, non-binding process in which a neutral third party facilitates discussion between the parties to help them reach a mutually acceptable resolution. Mediation promotes collaboration and allows the parties to maintain control over the outcome.
2
Arbitration
A more structured process in which a neutral arbitrator hears evidence and arguments from each side and issues a binding or non-binding decision. Arbitration is often faster and more efficient than court proceedings while still providing a definitive resolution.
3
Negotiation
A direct, informal process where parties work together—often with professional guidance—to reach a voluntary agreement. This method allows for maximum flexibility and can be the most cost-effective approach when successful.
4
Neutral Evaluation
An experienced neutral reviews the facts and legal positions of each side and provides an objective assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of the case. This can help guide settlement discussions and clarify likely outcomes.
5
Settlement Conference
A structured negotiation process, often guided by a neutral, designed to bring parties together to resolve disputes efficiently, typically before formal proceedings escalate.
6
Conciliation
A structured process in which the neutral not only facilitates discussion but may also actively propose solutions and assist the parties in reaching a resolution. This approach is especially effective where continued relationships are important and a more guided path toward agreement is beneficial.
